After more than 21 years of tending to all things administrative, Gail Milton decided it was time to change course and put on a slightly different hat. Having been a licensed real estate broker in the State of Oregon for many years, her role had been filled as a licensed assistant and transaction coordinator for The Buccola Group. What better way to learn the ins and outs of the real estate industry than to be trained by the area’s most successful real estate broker? Working with Gene Buccola preparing contracts, scheduling inspections, showing property, designing marketing materials, managing websites and coordinating the many details that need to occur in the course of listing and selling property in the Willamette Valley has helped pave the way for Gail’s transition into a working as a full-time broker.


A graduate of two Oregon state colleges, Gail puts to good use her background of organizational skills with The Buccola Group. Having spent two years teaching elementary school in southern Oregon before returning to college at Oregon State University, Gail relied on her abilities to multi-task, produce, arrange, and coordinate the multitude of details that arise in the course of a real estate transaction. Whether she’s researching property data, preparing purchase agreements, tracking ongoing transactions, showing property, updating websites or producing marketing materials, Gail provides the critical “behind the scenes” skills integral to The Buccola Group. Having worked closely together for many years, Gail and Gene have been able to take advantage of their individual strengths in a long-term working partnership. Gene’s dynamic personality, combined with Gail’s patience and attention to detail, provide the best of both worlds for their clients who rely on them for prompt, professional real estate service in both the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon areas.


Organization is at the backbone of her daily schedule. Whether coordinating inspections, scheduling appointments, proofing contracts or reviewing estimated closing statements, Gail has the ability to juggle the endless details that come with the job.

“I was the kid who always lined up the crayons in the box according to the spectrum in the rainbow. I’ve been dotting my I’s and crossing my t’s all of my life. The only difference now is that I get paid to do it”, she says.


As parents of twin girls, Gail and her husband John, a software development engineer at Hewlett Packard, take time for travel, downhill skiing and golf when they’re not working. With two kids on the verge of leaving the nest for college, the retirement horizon is still a way off.
